Ever since I developed the fine motor skills to hold a crayon, I always loved to draw and paint. I first considered a career in art when I was in the 4th grade and my drawings of horses became a high-ticket item among my classmates. I've come a long way since then, attending the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore in 2008 and receiving my BFA in painting. Much of my work is inspired by tribal art, masks, Japanese woodblock, Indian mehndi, and other traditions of pattern making. These interests also introduced me to the history of tattoos. As I continued to explore tattooing, both ancient and contemporary, an obsession was born.
